We got to the parking lot at UDig and took our water bottles and dosed ourselves with sunscreen and made our way down a steep slope to the site. Suddenly from behind us came a minivan whipping along that passed us since we were only going about 15MPH. The we saw a sign pointing to a place that had "Death" in the title and we got even more nervous. As we turned off the paved road onto a rutted gravel road we began to doubt our decision, especially as the car seemed like it was going to be shaken apart as we crept along. We stayed at a KOA in Fillmore and made the drive over to U-Dig the next day.
